Greeneville Flyboys 9 – Pulaski River Turtles 5
Greeneville scored nine unanswered runs and took Game 1 from Pulaski, 9-5, Saturday evening to even its season record at 4-4.
Carson Brumbaugh led the offensive surge with a 3-for-5 performance at the plate, collecting two singles and a double. Ruben Zuany drove in five runs with a grand slam and a single, while Matthew Kerrigan added two RBIs on a pair of singles.
Blane Metz earned the win on the mound, striking out three over two innings of relief. He allowed just one hit and one walk.
The Flyboys will close out the series against the River Turtles on Sunday with a seven-inning contest. First pitch is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
