Greeneville 9 – Johnson City 1
Nelson Grajales-Vazquez drove in three runs with a pair of singles, while Owen ten Oever belted a home run and also finished with three RBIs as the Flyboys defeated the Doughboys in the opening game of their series in Johnson City.
Hudson Johnson earned the win in relief, tossing three scoreless innings. He allowed two hits, walked two, and struck out two.
The series shifts to Greeneville on Wednesday, where the Flyboys and Doughboys will first complete the suspended game from June 18, beginning at 5 p.m. Once the originally scheduled nine-inning game is finished, the teams will play their regularly scheduled seven-inning contest.
