In one of the toughest races in the Southeast Greeneville cross country runner Trey Bailey ran a season best time on Saturday morning in Huntsville, Alabama at The Southern Showcase.
Bailey finished sixth in the championship division, running the five kilometer course in 15:06.40. He was the top public school runner.
Marcelo Mantecon of Belen Jesuit of Miami, Florida won the race in 14:41.60. Belen, ranked eighth nationally, had the top three finishers and won the team event.
Greeneville’s Jules Richard also ran in the championship division and ran a season best 17:15.70. Grant Tunnell was one second off his season best, finishing in 18:48.9
In the Blue Division Greeneville’s Mason Boatman ran a personal best 18:49.13, and Riley DiSalvo ran a personal best 19:12.95.
