Greeneville City Schools, Greeneville High School, and the Greeneville High Athletic Department are excited to announce Lilly Million as their new head softball coach. Million will be graduating from King University in December with a major in Interdisciplinary Studies, a minor in Elementary Education (K-5), and an endorsement in ESL (K-12).
During her time at King, Million played for four years and appeared in 97 games, while starting 73. She and her teammates won two Conference Carolinas regular season championships and 1 tournament championship. In 2024, she was selected to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team and was a member of the National College Athletic Honors Society. As a Lady Devil, Million helped lead GHS to district championships in 2018 and 2019. She was chosen all-conference and all-district twice.
Million will not take over the program until her graduation in December. Until then, a familiar face, Matt Million, will put the Lady Devils through their pre-season workouts. Matt is the former GHS head coach and Lilly’s father. Upon graduation, the younger Million will take over the reigns of the program and her father will become a volunteer assistant.
Brad Woolsey, GHS Athletic Director, said “We are extremely excited to welcome Lilly back to GHS as the head softball coach. She has excelled in the classroom and the playing field, and we look forward to her leading the Lady Devil softball program.”
Woolsey added, “Matt has been and continues to be a tremendous asset to our softball program and our school. We are thankful for his willingness to lead our team and continually stand in the gap for our girls.”
