On Thursday, the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association (TSSAA), in partnership with the Tennessee Titans, announced the semifinalists for the prestigious Mr. Football Awards. Greeneville High School senior running back Carson Quillen earned a spot among the five semifinalists for Class 4A. Quillen has had an impressive season, with 1,237 rushing yards on 114 carries, 25 rushing touchdowns, and an average of 10.9 yards per carry in just nine games. His versatility shines through as he’s also contributed in receiving and return yards, averaging nearly 197 all-purpose yards per game and scoring three touchdowns per game.
The Tennessee Titans Mr. Football Awards, now in their 40th year, honor top players across nine classifications within the TSSAA, including six classifications in Division I, three in Division II, and a separate category for Kicker of the Year. The three finalists in each category will be announced on November 26 and invited to a luncheon at Nissan Stadium on December 10, where the winners will be awarded.
