ROCK HILL, S.C. — Tusculum University senior forward David Evans has been named the South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the final week of the 2024 regular season, the SAC office announced Tuesday.
Evans scored two second-half goals to boost the Pioneers to a 3-1 victory over Carson-Newman on Senior Night on Wednesday at Pioneer Field. Evans scored the opening goal in the 62nd minute, then tacked on his second goal in the 71st minute as the Pioneers denied the Eagles a spot in the SAC Men’s Soccer Championship tournament.
The Johnson City, Tennessee native finished the season with three goals on four shot attempts, ranking him second on the team in both goals and points.
