INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Tusculum University softball is ranked sixth in the region ahead of next month’s Division II Softball Southeast Regional, the NCAA announced on Wednesday (Apr. 23).
No. 6 Tusculum (35-15) is one of five SAC teams named, including No. 3 Wingate (33-19), No. 4 Lenoir-Rhyne (31-17), No. 7 Lincoln Memorial (31-16), and No. 8 Emory & Henry (31-19). The Peach Belt Conference is represented by three teams: No. 2 North Georgia (39-9), No. 5 Flagler (30-17), and No. 10 USC Aiken (28-24). Conference Carolinas has the top seed, Francis Marion (43-3) and No. 9 Barton (25-21). Records are reflective of games through April 20.
The NCAA selection date is May 5.
The NCAA Southeast Regional will be held May 8-10 at a campus site to be determined. A total of eight teams will be selected to participate in the regional, with the champions from the SAC, Conference Carolinas, and the PBC each receiving automatic bids.
