GREENEVILLE, Tenn. — Tusculum University senior outside hitter Deklan Wingo and sophomore middle blocker Morgan Makovec have been named to the Intercollegiate Volleyball Association All-Conference team for the 2025 season.

Wingo, the conference Player of the Year, was a first-team selection while Makovec was a second-team choice for the Pioneers, who set a program single-season record with 15 wins during the 2025 campaign.

Wingo was named first-team All-IVA for the second straight season, while Makovec is the first Pioneer to receive second-team honors since Colby Landry in 2023.

Wingo, a native of Chester, Virginia, was a member of the IVA All-Tournament Team and an AVCA honorable mention All-American after setting single-season program records for kills (525) and digs (164) while ranking among the team leaders in hitting percentage (.348), aces (39) and digs per set (1.58).

In his career, Wingo owns program records for kills (1248), kills per set (3.35), attempts (2731), attempts per set (7.34), aces (93), points (1456.0), and points per set (3.91) while finishing second in seven additional categories.

Makovec, a native of Virginia Beach, Virginia, ranked second on the team with 204 kills and set the program single-season record with a .462 hitting percentage. Makovec led the Pioneers with a record 90 total blocks and was second to Wingo with 35 service aces. Makovec reached double figures in kills seven times, all in the team’s final 11 matches.

In two seasons at Tusculum, Makovec is the program leader in hitting percentage (.380) while ranking sixth in kills (352), fourth in service aces (48), third in blocks (152) and fifth in points per set (2.38).
