GREENEVILLE, Tenn. — Tusculum University will compete in five events at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championship, which will be held May 22-24 in Pueblo, Colorado.

The Pioneers are entered in the women’s 100 meters, 200 meters, 100 hurdles and 4×100-meter relay along with the men’s 100 meters. It is the first time in program history that Tusculum has been entered in five events at nationals, and the first time the Pioneers have had entries in four events in one gender since 2018, when Tusculum competed in four men’s events.

Entered for the women is the 4×100-meter relay of juniors Kiera Taylor, Shanice Cox, Theresa Green-White and Jahzara Hart. Hart is also entered in both the 100 meters and 200 meters, with Green-White set to compete in the 100 hurdles for the second straight year. Junior Isaiah Olson will make his NCAA debut for the Pioneers in the men’s 100 meters.

The 4×100 relay is seeded eighth with a season-best time of 44.89 seconds set at the Aggie Invitational on April 19. The quartet of Taylor, Cox, Green-White and Hart had the six fastest times in program history in the event during the season, and will be the first women’s relay in program history to compete at the NCAA Championship.

Hart is seeded 10th in the 100 meters and 16th in the 200 meters for the Pioneers. The Raleigh, North Carolina native earned second-team All-America honors in the 60 meters at the NCAA Division II Indoor Championship, placing ninth. Hart, who took second in both the 100 and 200 meters at the South Atlantic Conference Championship, had the top seven times in program history in the 100 and the top four in the 200 this season, running 11.33 in the 100 and 23.43 in the 200 at the Aggie Invitational to set the current school records.

Green-White was a 2024 Division II All-American with a sixth-place finish in the 100 meters, and followed up with a seventh-place showing in the 60 hurdles at the 2025 indoor championship. The Stafford, Texas native is the two-time defending SAC champion in the 100 hurdles, with her season-best time of 13.50 seconds coming in the conference finals.

Both Taylor and Cox will be making their NCAA championship debuts as part of the 4×100 relay. Taylor has run qualifying times in the 100 meters in each of the last three years, and the Kissimmee, Florida native had her best time of 11.74 seconds in prelims at the SAC Championship on April 30. Cox is a two-time NJCAA All-American in the 4×100 relay, and the native of Minneapolis, Minnesota has the second-best time in program history in both the 100 (11.60) and 200 (23.89) behind Hart.

Olson has run NCAA qualifying times in the 100 meters and the 4×100 relay in each of the last three years and in the 200 meters each of the last two years, but was able to make the cut this year as he is ranked 20th out of 22 entries with a school-record time of 10.27 seconds that he set at the Electric City Invitational on April 5. The South Greene High School graduate finished third in the 100 meters at the SAC Championship.

Competition will begin on Thursday, May 22 with prelims in the women’s 4×100 relay at 6:40 p.m. Eastern, followed by the women’s 100 meters at 8:10 p.m. Eastern and the men’s 100 meters at 8:25 p.m. Eastern. On Friday, May 23 the women’s 200 meters heats are at 7:30 p.m. Eastern and the women’s 100 hurdles trials will begin at 8:35 p.m. Eastern. Finals in all events will be on Saturday, May 24 starting at 7:10 p.m. Eastern.
