Greeneville 12 – Bluefield 4
Greeneville used big second and fourth innings to power past Bluefield, 12-4, on Friday evening.
Oklahoma State’s Brock Thompson led the offensive fireworks, launching his first home run of the summer and adding an RBI single to drive in four runs. Tyler Inge, TJ Adams, and Peyton Miller each contributed to the 13-hit attack with two singles and two RBIs apiece.
Jacob Kennedy earned the win, tossing five solid innings. He allowed just two runs on two hits while striking out two and walking two.
The Flyboys and Ridge Runners will meet again on Saturday evening at 7:00 for game two of the three-game series.
