The Tusculum University women’s beach volleyball program was among just 14 NCAA Division II beach programs to earn the American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award, sponsored by INTENT. TU earns this honor for a sixth-straight year.
The award, initiated in the 1992-93 academic year, honors volleyball teams that maintain a year-long grade-point average of 3.30 on a 4.0 scale or 4.10 on a 5.0 scale.
The Pioneers finished with a 3.51 team GPA for the 2024-25 academic year, including three student-athletes who posted at least one semester with a perfect 4.0 GPA.
TU boasted 14 selections on both the Tusculum Athletic Director’s Spring Honor Roll and South Atlantic Conference Commissioner Honor Roll.
Head coach Emily Kalmink’s inaugural team went 15-15 (6-4 SAC), winning the Bronze Bracket at the AVCA Championships.
