Middle school and elementary school runners from across the county competed in the Greene County Championships on Tuesday at the Clyde Austin 4H Center
North Greene captured the Middle School Girls championship led by Elidi Ziegler in a time of 15:01.00.
The Lady Huskies had five runners in the top eight. Maggie McAmis was third in 16:05.44, Evelina Abrosikov was fifth, Mackenzie Moorman was sixth, and Ashlyn Darnell was eighth.
South Greene’s Kinzlee Darnell was second in a time of 15:45.50.
For West Greene Alianne Bible placed fourth in 16:19.06, and Kaidence Whitmer was 10th.
For Chuckey-Doak Kaylana Russell was seventh in 17:16.00 and Lilliana Russel was ninth.
West Greene captured the middle school boys championship led by Jace Johnson in 13:01.06.
West Greene had the top three finishers and four of the top five on Tuesday. Skylar Rembert was second in 13:11.47, Cade Seals was third in 13:28.22, Luke Mosser was fifth in 13:52.81 and Hayes Harville was 10th in 14:54.94.
For North Greene Archer Tippens was fourth in 13:44.97.
Chuckey-Doak’s Eli Crawford placed sixth in 14:06.69. Jayce Jones was seventh, Colt Wampler eighth, and Ethan Crawford ninth.
In the Elementary School Girls race Nova Hilton of North Greene was the champion in 7:44.69. North Greene teammate Evie Holiday came in fifth place in 8:08.38
Mosheim took seven of the top 10 spots with Abby Carter placing third in 8:03.28, Ashton Anderson was fourth in 8:08.38. Chloe Key was sixth, Briley Thomas seventh, Lorelei Marshall eighth, Seriah Dawson ninth, and Haley Crews 10th.
Tennasyn Walters of Nolachuckey finished in second place in 8:00.91.
In the Elementary School Boys race Jude Williams of Mosheim placed first in 7:11.31. Mosheim’s Miles Bible was second in 7:23.62. Maddox Wisecarver was fifth, Braxton Sanders sixth, and Leland Marshall seventh.
Reed Case of Nolachuckey came in third place in 7:39.14. Cory Cutshall was fourth in 7:56.22, Gideon McKinney was eighth, and Jensen Renner was ninth.
North Greene’s Carter Villarreal came in 10th place in 9:54.53.
