TRACK AND FIELD
The South Greene track teams competed in a meet at Morristown West on Tuesday evening and the Lady Rebels earned a second place finish.
Alexa Gabbard won the triple jump in 34’11”. She was also fourth in the 300 meter hurdles and fourth in the 100 meter dash.
Ava Leasure was second in the 800 meters in 2:43.73. Chelsea Metcalf was second in the 3,200 meters in 13:12.6, and she was fourth in the 1,600 meters.
In the pole vault Miranda Metcalf was fourth at 6’6″ and Sienna Gabbard was fifth at 6’0″.
In the shot put Madison Darnell was third at 28’4″ while Kyli Seaton was fourth and Myesha Lewis was fifth. Lewis was fourth in the discus.
For the South Greene boys Noah Case won the 1,600 meters in 4:52.96, and was second in the 3,200 in 10:29.82.
Tripp Neas won the shot put with a throw of 43’7.5″ and Heath Norton was second at 43’0″.
For the West Greene girls Nevaeh Rowe won the pole vault at 7’0″. She was fifth in the long jump. In the discus Brooklyn Hyatt was second at 73’5″.
For the West Greene boys Dakota Cassidy was third in the pole vault at 7’0″.
Also on Tuesday North Greene and Chuckey-Doak competed in a meet at Science Hill.
For North Greene Matthew Boyd won the long jump with a leap of 19’7″. Thomas Darnell was first in the high jump at 5’8″, and Boyd was fourth.
The 4×100 relay team of Boyd, Darnell, Kelson Eastep and Leon Johnson placed first at 46.60 seconds.
For the Lady Huskies Natalie Foshie won the discus with a toss of 94’9″.
For the Chuckey-Doak boys Elijah Barker won the pole vault at 9’7″.
Landon Brown was second in the 100 meters at 11.31 seconds, and was second in the long jump at 18’8″.
Skylar Davis was third in the 100 meters at 11.33 seconds.
For the Lady Black Knights Carlene Bishop was third in the 100 meters at 13.20 seconds.
TENNIS
The Greeneville tennis teams dropped a pair of matches to Elizabethton on Tuesday.
The Lady Greene Devils fell 4-3.
In singles Greeneville’s Brylee Catron beat Madelyn Stanberry 8-0. Emma Light beat Lily Hardin 8-3.
For Elizabethton Caroline Bentley beat Julieann Raby 8-3. Ashleigh Hyatt won 8-3 over Kerry Birdwell. Kinsley Brittain beat Angelyn Diaz 8-3.
In doubles Greeneville Catron and Raby defeated Hardin and Stanberry 8-5. Elizabethton’s Bentley and Brittain beat Light and Robinson 8-5.
The Greeneville boys fell 6-1.
In singles Elizabethton’s Dhillon Patel beat Ryoma Taniguchi 8-1. John Mindermann beat Maccormack Cutshall 8-1. Luke Churchill beat Jackson Peters 8-0. Sage Burleson defeated Ryan Jobe 8-5. Deven Patel won 8-1 over Parker Quillen.
In doubles Greeneville’s Cutshall and Peters beat Burleson and Mindermann 8-4. Elizabethton’s Churchill and Patel beat Quillen and Jobe 8-4.
