ROCK HILL, S.C. — Tusculum University sophomore sprinter Kori Moore has been named the South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Women’s Track Athlete of the Week for the week ending April 19, the SAC office announced Tuesday.
Moore was part of four school-record performances during competition at the Aggie Invitational, hosted by North Carolina A&T on Friday and Saturday. She set individual school records in the 100 hurdles and 400 hurdles, and was part of record-setting 4×100 and 4×400-meter relays for the Pioneers.
On Friday, Moore ran 58.94 seconds in the 400 hurdles to cut nearly two seconds off her previous career best and break the school record of 1:00.70 set by Kialia Claiborne at the Tennessee Invite on April 10. She followed up on Saturday by running 13.48 seconds in the 100 hurdles, beating the previous record of 13.49 seconds set by Theresa Green-White at the 2024 NCAA Division II Championship.
Also on Saturday, Moore was part of the 4×100 relay that ran 43.97 seconds, the fastest time in Division II this season and faster than the previous Tusculum record of 44.24 seconds set at the 2025 NCAA Championship. She also ran on the 4×400 relay that posted a time of 3:41.78 and shattered the previous school record of 3:46.40 set at the 2025 SAC Championship.
The Jonesboro, Georgia native, who was the 2026 SAC Women’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Meet and a second-team All-America in the 60-meter hurdles at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championship, is currently ranked fifth in Division II in the 100 hurdles and sixth in the 400 hurdles.
Tusculum will compete in its final tune-up for the SAC Outdoor Track & Field Championship when the Pioneers take part in the Catamount Classic on April 24-25 in Cullowhee, North Carolina.
