AUSTIN, Texas — Six Tusculum University student-athletes have been named to the 2026 NCAA Division II Men’s At-Large Academic All-District® 3 first team, as selected by the College Sports Communicators.
Earning Academic All-District® Men’s At-Large honors for Tusculum are: golfer Marinus Jeebe; volleyball players Caleb Hammann and Morgan Makovec; and the lacrosse trio of Blake Harrison, Aiden Paczek and Jayden Rios.
The 2026 Academic All-District® Men’s At-Large Team recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances for the following NCAA sports: fencing, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing, volleyball, water polo and wrestling. Each school is limited to nominate up to six (6) total student-athletes from these respective sports.
District 3 is comprised of colleges and universities representing the South Atlantic Conference, Peach Belt Conference and Conference Carolinas. Members of the Independent Volleyball Association are also represented. To be eligible, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 (undergraduate and graduate) or higher and must be at least a sophomore. Nominees must compete in 90 percent of the institution’s games played or start in at least 66 percent of the institution’s contests. Golfers are also eligible if they compete at their respective conference championship.
Jeebe, a native of Forstinning, Germany, returns to the CSC Academic All-District team for a second straight year. He graduated from Tusculum in May with his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration where he garnered magna cum laude honors. He finished with a 3.94 GPA and is a member of the President’s List, Dean’s List, Charles Oliver Gray Honors List, SAC Commissioner’s Honor Roll and the Tusculum Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.
Jeebe played in five events this season including the South Atlantic Conference Championship. He tallied a 75.21 stroke average and recorded his best finish of the season at the Bob Dibble Memorial where he finished ninth with a 54-hole total 218 including a final round 67 (-5). Jeebe finished his career with a 76.08 scoring average in his 14 tournaments which included a pair of top-20 performances.
Hammann, a sophomore middle blocker from Farragut, Tennessee, has a 3.86 GPA while majoring in biology / pre-medicine. He is a member of the Dean’s List, Charles Oliver Gray Honors List and the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.
He played in 24 matches where totaled 59 kills, 80 blocks and 34 digs. He posted a .311 hitting percentage and averaged 0.93 blocks per set (34th in NCAA II) and finished with 117.0 points.
Makovec, a junior middle blocker from Virginia Beach, Virginia, has a 3.62 GPA while majoring in sport management. He is a member of the Dean’s List, Charles Oliver Gray Honors List and the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.
Makovec was the NCAA national statistical champion this year with his school single-season record .538 hitting percentage. He garnered All-Independent Volleyball Association first team honors and was named Tusculum’s Male Athlete of the Year. Played in 24 matches and totaled 215 kills, 27 service aces, 36 digs and a team-best 85 blocks (2nd in TU history).
The two-time All-IVA standout has posted 567 kills (3rd in TU history), 237 blocks (1st in TU history), 120 digs and 75 service aces (3rd in TU history) in his career. His .435 career hitting percentage is the best in program history, while his 790.5 career points ranks third in the TU record book.
Harrison, a junior from Sherwood Park, Alberta, has a 3.62 GPA while majoring in sport management. He is a member of the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll, SAC Commissioner’s Honor Roll, Dean’s List and Charles Oliver Gray Honors List. In 2025, he was the recipient of the Division II Athletic Directors Association Academic Achievement Award.
The 2025 CSC Academic All-District At-Large honoree started in all 14 games this season on defense where he finished second on the team with 53 ground balls and 16 caused turnovers. He also tallied one goal and three assists for his four total points.
During his 45-game career, Harrison has posted 125 ground balls, which are the fifth-most ever by a Pioneer. His 44 caused turnovers are also fifth in the TU record book.
Paczek, a junior from Ottawa, Ontario, majored in computer science and has a 3.73 GPA. He is a member of the SAC Commissioner’s Honor Roll, Athletic Director’s Honor Roll, Dean’s List and Charles Oliver Gray Honors List.
He started in all 14 games where he tallied 23 ground balls and caused 26 turnovers on defense for the Pioneers.
Rios, a sophomore from Stony Point, New York, has a 3.54 GPA while majoring in sport science. He is a member of the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll, SAC Commissioner’s Honor Roll, Dean’s List and Charles Oliver Gray Honors List.
He started in 13 games in his first Tusculum season where he led the Pioneers at the X where he won 143 of his 278 faceoff attempts. He also posted six goals and four assists for his 10 points. He recorded 85 ground balls and caused four turnovers.
The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes men’s at-large honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced July 8, 2026.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-2026 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs.
