CORAL GABLES, Fla. — Five Tusculum University student-athletes have been named 2026 All-America Scholars by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA).
Earning WGCA All-America Scholar recognition are: Delfin Filiz, Maylei Hildenbrand, Annabelle Mozingo, Reagan Padilla and McKenna Williams.
Criteria for selection to be a WGCA All-America Scholar includes: 3.50 cumulative grade point average and compete in 50 percent of the team’s regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the 2025-2026 academic year.
Filiz, a junior from Istanbul, Türkiye, earns WGCA All-America Scholar laurels for a second straight season. She is majoring in exercise science and has a GPA of 3.83. She is a member of the South Atlantic Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll, Tusculum Athletic Director’s Honor Roll, Dean’s List and Charles Oliver Gray Honors List. She was named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District first team last month and is a 2025 recipient of the Division II Athletic Directors Association (D2ADA) Academic Achievement Award.
Filiz finished second on the team with her 78.74 scoring average as she qualified for all nine tournaments and led the Pioneers with her five top-20 finishes. She recorded 23 rounds with her best finish coming as the Agnes McAmis Memorial where she placed 10th. She was TU’s top finisher at the SAC Championship as she finished 12th with a 54-hole total 228. Her career scoring average of 80.28 is currently the 12th-lowest in program history.
Hildenbrand, a sophomore from Greeneville, Tennessee, also earns WGCA All-America Scholar status for a second consecutive year. She has a 3.95 GPA while majoring in business and is a member of the SAC Commissioner’s Honor Roll, Dean’s List, President’s List, Charles Oliver Gray Honors List and the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.
Hildenbrand finished third on the club with her 78.91 stroke average. She played in nine events and recorded three finishes in the top-20 including once in the top-10. She tied for eighth place at the McAmis Memorial and tallied a 36th place showing at the SAC Championship.
Mozingo, a native of Jacksonville, Florida, becomes a two-time WGCA All-America Scholar selection. She graduated from Tusculum this past May with cum laude honors while earning her Bachelor of Science degree as a sport science major. She is a member of the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll, Dean’s List, Charles Oliver Gray Honors List and SAC Commissioner’s Honor Roll. In 2025, she was a D2ADA Academic Achievement Award recipient.
Mozingo played in nine events this past season where she was fourth with her 79.5 stroke average. She accounted for two top-10 finishes including a third-place showing at the King Invitational. She also tied for eighth at the McAmis Memorial and 33rd at the SAC Championship.
Padilla, a native of Gallatin, Tennessee, garners WGCA All-America Scholar honors for a fourth time. She graduated from Tusculum in May with her Bachelor of Science degree where she finished with cum laude honors. She posted a 3.76 GPA as a sport science major and is a member of the SAC Commissioner’s Honor Roll, Dean’s List, Athletic Director’s Honor Roll and the Charles Oliver Gray Honors List. She was named the 2026 SAC Women’s Golf Scholar Athlete of the Year, becoming the fourth Pioneer to achieve the honor. She is a three-time CSC Academic All-District honoree and twice received the D2ADA Academic Achievement Award.
During her four years with the Pioneers, Padilla posted a 76.30 career stroke average, which is the second lowest in school history. She played in a TU-record 96 career rounds and finished in the top-20 on 25 occasions which are tied for the fourth-most by a Pioneer. She also recorded 19 top-10 finishes (4th in TU history) including 13 times in the top-five (T2nd in TU history).
Padilla claimed individual medalist honors twice during her collegiate career, winning the 2023 King Invitational and the 2024 Converse Invitational. She twice earned SAC All-Tournament honors in 2024 and 2025. In 2025, she qualified as an individual competitor at the NCAA Division II South Region Championship. She established a Tusculum record by finishing in the top-20 in 22 consecutive tournaments.
Williams, a freshman from Waynesville, North Carolina, has 3.81 GPA and is majoring in interdisciplinary studies. She is a member of the SAC Commissioner’s Honor Roll, Athletic Director’s Honor Roll, Dean’s List and Charles Oliver Gray Honors List.
She competed in eight events and recorded an 85.53 stroke average. The tied for 15th place at the Agnes McAmis Memorial where she carded a season low 78 in the final round.
The Pioneers finished the 2025-26 academic year with a 3.770 team cumulative grade point average which was the highest of Tusculum’s 23 varsity programs. The TU women finished sixth at the SAC Championship.
