Pulaski 15 – Greeneville 5 (7-innings)
Greeneville opened a three-game series in Pulaski on Tuesday night, falling to the River Turtles 15-5 in a game shortened to seven innings.
The Flyboys struck first with a run in the top of the first, but the River Turtles quickly took control. Pulaski erupted for eight runs in the bottom of the second and scored in every remaining inning to pull away for the run-rule victory.
Gabe Gray led Greeneville offensively, going 3-for-3 with a triple. Matt Cash added a double and a single in three plate appearances, while Olin Ward belted his third home run of the season in the losing effort.
Hudson Johnson suffered the loss after allowing eight runs on four hits over 1 2/3 innings. He struck out one and walked four.
The two teams continue the series Wednesday night at Calfee Park in Pulaski, with first pitch scheduled for 7 p.m.
