Elizabethton 12 – Greeneville 3
Greeneville and Elizabethton were locked in a tight 2-1 contest before thunderstorms rolled over Pioneer Park, forcing a two-hour rain delay. Once play resumed and the field was deemed playable, the River Riders took control, pulling away for a 12-3 victory.
The Flyboys collected seven hits, led by Bryson Boyd with two singles, while Matt Cash added a double.
Beau Revord was charged with the loss despite allowing just two runs on one hit over three innings. He walked five and struck out three.
Greeneville returns home Tuesday to open a three-game series against Burlington at Eastman Credit Union Field. First pitch for each game is scheduled for 7 p.m.
