Greeneville Girls Win Hilltopper Invitational
The Greeneville girls golf team won the Hilltopper invitational on Monday at Blackthorn Club in Jonesborough.
Kylee Renner led the Lady Devils with a 73 and earned all-tournament honors. Brylee Catron shot an 83 and Kamryn Renner shot an 84.
To claim the championship Greeneville beat Baylor in a match-play competition. Kylee Renner won 3 and 1, Kamryn Renner won 5 and 4, and Catron lost 2 down.
Baylor’s Charlee Spearman and Katie Grace Tuder tied for medalist honors with a 75.
The Greeneville boys golf team beat Unicoi on Monday 171-185
Alex Hopson led Greeneville with a 40, Brayden Shelton shot a 42, Jaxson Lester 42 and Riggs Leonard 47.
South Greene, West Greene Compete At Lakeway
The South Greene and West Greene golf teams went to Clinchview Country Club on Monday to compete against Grainger and Lakeway Academy.
Lakeway won the boys match with a 165 led by Luke Diamond’s 39.
Grainger was second with a 166, led by medalist Liam Moore’s 35.
South Greene shot a 170. Brennan Gregg and Kennan Hankins each shot a 38 for the Rebels. Cameron Kinser had a 46 and Mitchell Landers 48.
For West Greene Thomas Cogsdell shot a 44, Xander Crisp had a 45, Josiah Dawson 46 and Seth Julian 51. As a team the Buffaloes shot a 186.
Lakeway won the girls competition with an 89. Zoey Schockley took medalist honors with a 42.
Grainger shot a 90 led by Molly Wells’ 43.
South Greene’s Chloe Laws shot a 44.

The North Greene volleyball team picked up a 3-1 win over David Crockett on Monday, 25-10, 19-25, 25-23, 25-18.
