Everybody in the stadium knew that Tripp Neas was going to get the ball, but there was still nothing North Greene could do to stop him on Friday night. He ran over, around and straight by defenders to help South Greene to a 41-6 win over their cross-county rivals. For that he has been named Greene Sports Zone Texas Roadhouse Player of the Week for the second week in a row.
Neas carried the ball 20 times against the Huskies and churned out 246 yards. He crossed the goal line five times in the contest. His most impressive play, began with what looked like disaster. Taking the snap as a wildcat quarterback with his heels on the goal line he bobbled the snap and then had to improvise. The result, though, was a 95-yard touchdown run.
