Linley made the biggest move of the tournament as he fired a career-best seven-under 65. He opened his round with a pair of bogeys, but a birdie on hole No. 5 and chipped in for an eagle on the difficult seventh hole. He birdied No. 8 and No. 10 before he posted a bogey on the 11th. But he would post five more birdies for his round including on four of his last five holes as he tied for fifth place, moving up 32 spots on the leaderboard

Coach Dibble served as head coach of the Pioneer golf program for 28 seasons and founded this tournament in 1994 as the Tusculum Invitational. The Pioneers have won this event previously in: 1995, 1997, 1998, 2006, 2011, 2012, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2021, 2022 and 2023.
Tusculum A’s 54-hole total 837 was four shots away from matching the school-record and tournament total 833 shot by TU at the Dibble Intercollegiate in 2023. TU’s 274 on Tuesday is tied for the fourth-best round in school history and three strokes away from the school-record 271 shot at last year’s King Invitational.
Winnersjo’s 207 is tied for the fourth-lowest 54-hole tally in TU history and seven shots from matching Brad Hawkins’ 200 total fired at the 2015 State Farm Intercollegiate.
Tusculum wraps up the fall portion of its schedule and returns to action Mar. 1-2 as the Pioneers co-host the TU/Lenoir-Rhyne Tidewater Intercollegiate in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
