The Greeneville baseball team earned a double-header sweep of Claiborne on Tuesday, winning game one 13-0 and game two 4-0.
In the first game the Greene Devils got 14 hits from eight different players. Carson Norris went 3-for-3 with a triple and two RBIs. Carson Quillen went 2-for-2 with a home run, two RBIs and three runs scored. Maddox Bishop Went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs. Conner Ireland each went 2-for-2 with a double. Kaine Ricker was 2-for-2, Will Harmon had a home run and Noah Murray had a double.
On the mound Norris threw five innings with 10 strikeouts, one walk and one hit allowed.
In game two Bishop was 2-for-3 with a double. Harmon had a triple and Kobe Mundy had a double.
On the mound Randen Fillers threw five innings with nine strikeouts, one walk and one hit allowed. Harmon threw two innings with five strikeouts, no walks and no hits.
Chuckey-Doak 12, Hampton 10
Chuckey-Doak 12, Hampton 4
The Chuckey-Doak baseball team went to Hampton on Tuesday and picked up a pair of wins, first 12-10 and then 12-4.
In game one the Black Knights earned 13 hits. Jake Hinkle went 3-for-4 with a double and two runs scored. James Seidl was 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs. Randall Sauceman was 2-for-3 with two RBIs. Cooper Seay went 2-for-5 with two RBIs.
On the mound Gavin Crum went five innings with five strikeouts, four walks and six hits allowed. Only three of the 10 runs he allowed were earned.
Lynkin Cutshaw threw three innings with five strikeouts, two walks and two hits allowed.
In came two Chuckey-Doak earned 10 hits. Dom Atchison was 3-for-3 with a double and two RBIs. Hinkle went 2-for-3 and scored two runs. Cutshaw had two RBIs and scored two runs.
On the mound Kiptyn Ball threw 4 1/3 innings with six strikeouts, two walks and seven hits allowed. Gavin Murray threw 2/3 of an inning with two walks and two hits allowed.
West Greene 8, South Greene 2
The West Greene baseball team picked up an 8-2 win over South Greene on Wednesday.
West Greene earned nine hits in the win with Brandon Hunter going 3-for-5. Jayden Cox was 2-for-3, Kaven Greene had two RBIs and scored two runs, and Jhonen Bath had two RBIs. Jacob Greene had a double with an RBI.
For South Greene Charlie Lane went 2-for-4. Brendan Lisenby, Colby Brooks, Tyler Davis and Zach Mason all had one hit.
Braden McCamey earned the win on the mound for the Buffaloes. In seven innings he struck out nine, walked one and allowed six hits.
Brooks took the loss for South Greene. In 4 1/3 innings he struck out six, walked six and allowed five hits.
SOFTBALL
Greeneville 7, Claiborne 5
The Greeneville softball team picked up a 7-5 win over District 2-3A foe Claiborne on Tuesday night.
At the plate Kaley Garland went 2-for-4 with a double and a triple. Addie Lamons and Brynlee Jones each had doubles with two RBIs for Greeneville. Baylee Ramsey, Kyla Jobe, Destani Bailey and Riley Foshie all had singles.
Jones earned the win in the circle. In seven innings she struck out 10, walked six and allowed five hits.
North Greene 8, University High 5
The North Greene softball team picked up an 8-5 win over University High on Tuesday.
At the plate Hannah Brooks went 4-for-4 with an RBI. Jourdanne Marr was 2-for-3 and Loren Blevins had two RBIs. Heidi Trantham had a home run for the Lady Huskies.
Brooks earned the win in the circle. In seven innings she had five strikeouts, three walks and six hits allowed.
SOCCER
Greeneville 10, Claiborne 0
The Greeneville soccer team beat Claiborne 10-0 in 40 minutes on Tuesday.
Sam Gourley and Justin Banegas each had two goals while Matthew Lindberg, Addison Lenker, Bryson Ricker, Caden Jordan and Weston McGill all scored one goal.
