GREENEVILLE, Tenn. — Bryan Buckius has resigned his position as head coach of the Tusculum University men’s volleyball program. He is leaving Tusculum after three seasons to accept another coaching position with that announcement being made by that institution in the near future.
He coached the Pioneers to a 25-62 overall record in his three campaigns in Greeneville, which included this spring’s 8-23 showing where Tusculum finished third at the Independent Volleyball Association (IVA) Tournament.
“I want to thank Bryan for his service to Tusculum University and our men’s volleyball program,” said Josh Ealy, vice president of athletics. “We wish Bryan, Ashley and Drew all the best in their future endeavors.”
Buckius coached previously on the collegiate volleyball staffs at King University and Elizabethtown College in Pennsylvania.
“I would like to thank Tusculum for the opportunities they gave to me and my family,” Buckius said. “It has been great working with all of the student-athletes that have come through the program and Tusculum will always have a special place in my heart.”
He is a 2021 graduate of Millersville University of Pennsylvania where he earned a degree in business administration.
Buckius is married to the former Ashley Martin and they are the parents one daughter, Drew.
Ealy indicated that a national search for a new head coach is in progress.
