INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Tusculum University softball is ranked seventh in the region ahead of next month’s Division II Softball Southeast Regional, the NCAA announced on Wednesday (Apr. 30).
No. 7 Tusculum (35-15) is one of six SAC teams named, including No. 3 Wingate (35-19), No. 4 Lenoir-Rhyne (33-17), No. 6 Lincoln Memorial (33-16), No. 8 Carson-Newman (28-18), and No. 10 Emory & Henry (31-21). The Peach Belt Conference is represented by two teams: No. 2 North Georgia (40-11) and No. 5 Flagler (31-19). Conference Carolinas has the top seed and automatic qualifier, Francis Marion (47-4), and No. 9 Barton (27-23). Records are reflective of games through April 27.
The NCAA selection date is May 5.
The NCAA Southeast Regional will be held May 8-10 at a campus site to be determined. A total of eight teams will be selected to participate in the regional, with the champions from the SAC, Conference Carolinas, and the PBC each receiving automatic bids.
