Tusculum University Men’s Lacrosse Players and Greeneville Lacrosse Club Team Up to Offer Free Youth Events

Greeneville, TN—Youth in grades 3rd to 12th have multiple opportunities to test-drive the sport of lacrosse in Greeneville and Greene County this fall.

Tusculum University (TU) Men’s Lacrosse student and graduate assistant coach Brenden Pecora is lending his field expertise to Greeneville Lacrosse Club (GLC). Pecora led students at Greeneville Middle School and Tusculum View in P.E. enrichment lessons and plans to share the game with South Greene Middle School on September 24, 2025. Fellow TU players assist Pecora in highlighting the fast-paced sport.

In addition to school visits, Pecora will lead a free co-ed lacrosse fall ball skills clinic. Boys and Girls of any skill level in grades 3rd through 12th are welcome to attend. Fall Ball will be held September 29 – November 1 at Camp Creek Elementary School Football Field. Practices are scheduled for Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The clinic boasts zero registration fees and no equipment to purchase. GLC is supporting a risk-free lacrosse test drive for players and parents’ pocketbooks.

“Playing lacrosse brought me to Tusculum University, and I’m on a mission to grow local players in Greeneville and Greene County,” Pecora said. “This is a great opportunity for students to learn from college coaches and players. Once kids have sticks in their hands, they know how fun lacrosse is to play. Since GLC is supporting free practices, joining Fall Ball is a win for parents, too.”

To register for the Fall Ball skills camp or to learn more about GLC or get details about the camp, visit www.greenevillelacrosse.com.

Tusculum University is home to both ladies’ and men’s lacrosse teams.

Lacrosse is a TSSAA-sanctioned sport. Science Hill, Dobbyns-Bennett, West Ridge High, Sevier County, and Gatlinburg-Pittman currently have teams in the region, joining the growing number of teams across the state.
