Women’s Golf Finish 10th At St. Simons Intercollegiate

ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. — The Tusculum University women’s golf team posted a final round 301 to finish with a three-day score of 923 and finish 10^th at the 2025 St. Simons Intercollegiate.

Tusculum’s team total of 923 is tied for the second-lowest 54-hole score in program history, matching the 923 carded at the 2021 Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate in Sevierville.

Wingate, the second-ranked team in NCAA Division II, led wire-to-wire to claim the team title as the Bulldogs finished with a seven-under par 857, winning by 33 strokes over runner-up West Florida.

TU senior Reagan Padilla was the low Pioneer for the tournament as she shot an even par 72 to finish with a three-round total 225 and tie for 22^nd place. On Tuesday, Padilla came out on fire, opening with a birdie and posted an eagle on her seventh hole. She was three-under par for her round through nine holes, but bogeys on three of the next four holes brought her back to even. She followed with a birdie and three straight pars before a bogey on the final hole kept her out of red numbers.

Maylei Hildenbrand finished 38^th with 76-77-77=230, while Delfin Filiz shot 79-78-77=234 to tie for 53^rd. Annabelle Mozingo had the second lowest round of the day for TU with her 75 as she finished at 236 (T58). Freshman Lidya Atalay posted 85-78-85=248 and finished 83^rd.

Wingate’s Amely Bochaton claimed medalist honors as she carded a three-round score of 209 (-7) including a five-under par 67 for Tuesday.

Tusculum will wrap up the fall portion of its schedule Oct. 27-28 when the Pioneers travel to Inman, South Carolina for the Converse Fall Invitational.
