In the semifinals of the Region 1-AA Tournament the Chuckey-Doak volleyball team picked up an important win over Volunteer 3-0, 25-22, 25-18, 25-13.
The Lady Black Knights move on the region championship where they will play Sullivan East at Sullivan East on Tuesday at 6 p.m. The Lady Black Knights also clinched a berth in Thursday’s state sectional round.

Gatlinburg-Pittman 3, Chuckey-Doak 1
In the District 1-A Soccer Tournament on Monday the Chuckey-Doak soccer team saw its season come to an end with a 3-1 loss at Gatlinburg-Pittman.
Lindsey Rojas scored the Lady Knights’ lone goal in the 57th minute.
Gatlinburg-Pittman started the scoring in the in 12th minute with Chloe Mejias finding the back of the net. Addison Stinnett scored a breakaway goal in the 54th minute, and Mejias scored again in the 67th minute.
