Chuckey-Doak junior Isabelle Karriker was a force to be reckoned with in the middle of net for the Lady Black Knights as they advanced to the Class AA State Tournament for the first time and then won at the state tournament for the first time. For that she has been selected as the Greene Sports Zone Player of the Week.
In three games at the Class AA State Tournament Karriker had 32 kills, 16 blocks, 15 digs and three aces. More than that her presences in the middle changed the way Upperman tried to attack which led Chuckey-Doak to its first state tournament win in program history, 3-1 over the Lady Bees. Chuckey-Doak finished the year as one of the final six teams standing in Class AA.
