Greeneville’s Trey Bailey wrapped up a truly dominant cross country season on Thursday by claiming the Class AA State Championship and for that he has been named the Greene Sports Zone Player of the Week.
Not only did Bailey claim Greeneville’s first cross country state championship since 2013, he ran away from the field at Shelby Farms Park in Memphis. The junior ran the five-kilometer course in 15:12.89, which was 25 seconds faster than second place. With the winning effort Bailey completed his 2025 season undefeated. In addition to that he helped the Greene Devils earn a third-place finish in the team standings. It was Greeneville’s first top-five finish since 2015.
