GREENEVILLE, Tenn. — Tusculum University, Boyd Sports and Eastman Credit Union have reached an agreement on a five-year, exclusive naming-rights partnership that brands TU’s home baseball venue as “Eastman Credit Union Field at Pioneer Park.
Eastman Credit Union Field at Pioneer Park is part of the Niswonger Sports Complex on the Tusculum campus and serves as the home of the Pioneer Baseball program.
The facility also serves as the home venue of the Greeneville Flyboys, a summer collegiate baseball team that is part of the MLB and USA Baseball Prospect Development Pipeline.
“This partnership builds on our long-standing relationship with Eastman Credit Union and the Greeneville Flyboys,” said Josh Ealy, Tusculum Vice President of Athletics. “As one of the premier baseball facilities in the Southeast, Eastman Credit Union Field at Pioneer Park provides an ideal setting to further enhance the experience for both our fans and student-athletes.”
The partnership will feature dedicated ECU signage throughout the facility including dugout tops, seating cupholders, outfield field wall signage, video board commercials, and front gate signage.
“We are extremely excited about partnering with Eastman Credit Union,” Flyboys General Manager Brandon Bouschart said. “Their commitment to the Greeneville Flyboys and Tusculum University has created a new level of excitement for the ballpark and the community. This partnership continues to build on our vision for family entertainment and advance it towards the next level. Eastman Credit Union Field at Pioneer Park will be the place to be not only during the summer months, but for events throughout the year.”
Eastman Credit Union Field at Pioneer Park features chair-back seating for over 2,500 spectators and is one of the best NCAA baseball facilities in the country. It is a pitcher-friendly ballpark with dimensions measuring 331 feet down the lines, 375 feet in the power alleys and 400 feet to center field.
Eastman Credit Union Field at Pioneer Park’s “light-frame” steel canopy covers most of the seating area for fans and provides a covered concourse which includes four luxury suites, press box and ample space for group dining and gatherings. The facility also features a state-of-the art scoreboard and video board in left field.
The entire facility is face with brock and limestone, giving the facility a “retro” look to the baseball stadiums built in the 1930’s and 40’s. The stadium also utilizes individual, slat-back seating similar to that used at Baltimore’s Camden Yards.
“We are proud to sponsor Eastman Credit Union Field at Pioneer Park, a place that brings our community together and creates lasting memories for families and fans alike. This partnership reflects our deep commitment to Tusculum University and Greene County, and our belief in fostering opportunities that strengthen community spirit while supporting local economic growth,” said Kelly Price, ECU President and CEO.
Eastman Credit Union Field at Pioneer Park has served as the home of Tusculum baseball since 2002. The facility has hosted the South Atlantic Conference Baseball Championship on two occasions. It has also hosted the NJCAA Division II College World Series and numerous high school postseason tournaments.
Tusculum University is affiliated with the Presbyterian Church, USA and is a NCAA Division II member of the South Atlantic Conference.
