CHUCKEY-DOAK 69, CLOUDLAND 34
The Chuckey-Doak boys basketball team shook off a slow start to run away from Cloudland on Monday night in a 69-34 win.
The Black Knights trailed for the first 14 minutes, but managed to take the lead late in the second quarter. They then outscored the Highlanders 42-14 in the second half.
Ryland Grindstaff led the scoring effort with 20 points and Dom Atchison put in 14 points for the Knights. In total 11 players scored for Chuckey-Doak.
Uriah Jarrett had 12 points for Cloudland.
Girls
CLOUDLAND 63, CHUCKEY-DOAK 26
The Chuckey-Doak girls struggled with Cloudland’s high-pressure defense on Monday night and fell 63-26.
Makinna Shell scored 13 points for the Lady Highlanders and Eowyn McCoury had 10. For the Lady Black Knights Carlene Bishop and Jayden Myers each had eight points.
