Greeneville 75, Cherokee 56
The Greeneville girls basketball team took down Cherokee 75-56 on Monday evening in the District 2-3A championship game.
Maria Lyde led the way for the Lady Greene Devils as she scored 24 points, grabbed 13 rebounds, and dished six assists on her way to being named Tournament MVP. Julia Woolsey had 20 points, seven rebounds, and five assists. Brylee Tullock had 19 points, eight rebounds, eight assists and six steals.
For Cherokee Kenady Deal scored 18 points, Rylee Sivert had 15 and Addie Lawson 15.
Unicoi County 41, South Greene 36
In the District 1-2A Tournament championship game on Monday night the Unicoi County girls basketball team pulled away late to beat South Greene 41-36.
Kortnei Bailey scored 12 points for the Lady Rebels and Ari Hoese added nine points.
For Unicoi Carly Baxter scored 13 points and Laney Rogers added nine points.
Johnson County 73, Chuckey-Doak 68
In the District 1-2A Tournament third-place game on Monday night Chuckey-Doak fought to the finish but fell 73-68 to Johnson County.
Carlene Bishop poured in 28 points to lead the Lady Black Knights. Jayden Myers scored 17 points and Chloe Kirkpatrick put in 10 points.
Mackenzie McClain scored 29 points for Johnson County and Audrey Shaw had 23 points.
