Greeneville 9, Knox Central 8
The Greeneville baseball team eight innings to get the decisive run across the plate on Saturday afternoon as they beat Knox Central 9-8.
The go ahead run came in the top of the eight inning when Maddox Bishop worked a bases-loaded walk that allowed Kase Spradlen to score.
On the mound Will Harmon was credited with the win, working 1.2 innings in relief. He struck out one, walked one and allowed no hits.
Tegan Begley threw five innings with seven strikeouts, six walks and five hits allowed. Silar Lewis threw 1.1 innings with one strikeout, no walks and one hit allowed.
At the plate Sam Thompson was 3-for-4 with three RBIs. Bishop was 2-for-3 and walked twice. Kaine Ricker was 2-for-5 with two RBIs. Jack Lister had a double.
Greeneville 9, Galesburhg, IL 5
The Greeneville baseball team finished Saturday with a 9-5 win over Galesburg, Illinois.
On the mound Sam Thompson went six innings to earn the win. He struck out eight, walked one and allowed four hits.
At the plate the Greene Devils earned 10 hits. Jack Lister was 3-for-4 with an RBI. Tegan Begley went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs. Kaine Ricker was 2-for-3 with three runs scored. Kase Spradlen had a double and Grayson Crosby had two RBIs.
SOFTBALL
David Crockett 7, Greeneville 3
The Greeneville softball team started a busy weekend at Winged Deer Park with a 7-3 loss to David Crockett on Friday.
The Lady Greene Devils were held to two hits. Brynlee Jones and Kinslee Lewandowski each had a single.
In the circle Gabby Atchison threw 3.1 innings with one strikeout, three walks and nine hits allowed.
Dobyns-Bennett 9, Greeneville 2
In its second game on Friday Greeneville fell to Dobyns-Bennett 9-2.
The Lady Indians to three pitchers to throw a combined no-hitter.
For Greeneville Jamie Jackson took the loss. She struck out none, walked one and allowed seven hits.
Clinton 6, Greeneville 4
On Saturday Greeneville started a busy day with a 6-4 loss to Clinton.
The Lady Greene Devils produced six hits. Gabby Atchison and Kinslee Lewandowski each had a double.
In the circle Brynlee Jones threw three innings with three strikeouts, three walks and and three hits allowed.
Chilhowie, Va. 9, Greeneville 8
In its second game on Saturday the Greeneville softball team fell to Chilhowie, Virginia 9-8.
At the plate Baylee Ramsey went 3-for-3 with a double, triple and three RBIs. Kaley Garland was 1-for-1 with a home run and three RBIs.
Jamie Jackson threw 2.1 innings with five strikeouts, three walks and six hits allowed.
Clinton 8, Greeneville 2
In its final game of Saturday Greeneville matched up with Clinton again and fell 8-2.
Brooke Parsley was 2-for-2. Brynlee Jones had a double and two RBIs. Kaley Garland and Kinslee Lewandowski each had singles.
Jackson took the loss. She struck out one, walked four and allowed six hits in two innings.
Chuckey-Doak 17, Tri-Cities Christian 3
The Chuckey-Doak softball team picked up a 17-3 win over Tri-Cities Christian on Friday night.
Liberty Sauceman was 3-for-3 with two doubles and three RBIs. Haleigh Seidl went 2-for-2 with a double and two runs scored. Jakindsey Church was 2-for-3 with a double. Elizabeth Manuel went 2-for-2 with a home run and three RBIs.
Manuel earned the win for Chuckey-Doak. In 2.2 innings she struck out four, walked four and allowed one hit.

Greeneville 1, Cane Ridge 1
Playing in the Smoky Mountain Cup in Gatlinburg on Saturday the Greeneville soccer team tied with Cane Ridge 1-1. Cristian Banegas scored the Greene Devils goal and Samuel Gourley assisted,
Greeneville 3, Green Hill 2
On Sunday in Gatlinburg the Greeneville soccer team picked up a 3-2 win over Green Hill. Samuel Gourley scored all three goals and Emerson Hensley had an assist.
