Greeneville 9, David Crockett 5
The Greeneville softball team took down David Crockett 9-5 on Monday afternoon.
The Lady Greene Devils produced eight hits, led by Kaley Garland who went 3-for-3 with a double and two RBIs. Brylee Tullock was 2-for-3, with a triple, two RBIs and three runs scored. Brooke Parsley was 2-for-4 with a double and three RBIs.
In the circle Jamie Jackson struck out three, walked one and allowed 10 hits.
West Greene 6, University High 5
The West Greene softball team beat University High 6-5 on Monday.
The Lady Buffaloes earned 10 hits in the win. Kaylee Willett went 2-for-2 with a double and two RBIs. Alexis Cutshall went 2-for-4, and Autumn Carter went 2-for-2.
Abby Cluesman threw all seven innings with nine strikeouts, one walk and five hits allowed.
Cloudland 5, Chuckey-Doak 2
The Chuckey-Doak softball team fell to Cloudland on Monday, 5-2.
Jayden Myers led the Lady Black Knights’ offense by going 2-for-3 with a double. Midisyn Miller had a double while Haleigh Seidl and Aryel Mitchell both had singles.
In the circle Elizabeth Manuel struck out two, walked three, and allowed six hits.
Unicoi County 7, North Greene 1
The North Greene softball team fell to Unicoi County 7-1 on Monday evening.
The Lady Huskies did not earn a hit in the loss while striking out 13 times.
In the circle Hannah Brooks threw six innings with four strikeouts, two walks and eight hits allowed.
BASEBALL
West Greene 6, Happy Valley 0
The West Greene baseball team went to Happy Valley on Monday night and took down Happy Valley 6-0 in District 1-2A play.
On the mound Jayden Cox went 5.1 innings with 10 strikeouts, five walks and two hits allowed.
At the plate Bronson Brown went 2-for-4 with an RBI. Brandon Hunter drove in two runs. Jhonen Bath, Aiden Willett, Carter Stills and Julian Greenlee all had singles.
South Greene 6, Johnson County 4
The South Greene baseball team took down Johnson County 6-4 on Monday in game one of a double header.
At the plate Dawson Ripley went 2-for-3 with an RBI. Maddux Brown went 2-for-3 with two runs scored. Cayden Fillers had an RBI double.
Colton Fillers threw all seven innings with two strikeouts, two walks and 10 hits allowed.
Johnson County 10, South Green 0
In the second game on Monday South Greene fell to Johnson County 10-0.
The Rebels earned just two hits. Colton Fillers and Eli Fillers each had a single.
Cameron Kinser took the loss on the mound. In 4.1 innings he struck out three, walked two and allowed five hits.
Unicoi County 14, Chuckey-Doak 7
The Chuckey-Doak baseball team took its first loss in District 1-2A play on Monday night, 14-7 to Unicoi County.
At the plate the Black Knights produced 13 hits. Kiptyn Ball went 3-for-4 with a home run and four RBIs. Cooper Seay was 3-for-4 with a double. Gavin Crum was 2-for-4 with a home run. Shane Cook went 2-for-4 with a double and three runs scored.
Lynkin Cutshaw went 5.2 innings on the mound with nine strikeouts, five walks and six hits allowed.
Greeneville 11, Grainger 5
The Greeneville baseball took down Grainger 11-5 on Monday in District 2-3A action.
The Greene Devils earned 10 hits in the win. Maddox Bishop went 2-for-3 with a home run, three RBIs and two runs scored. He reached base four time. Kaine Ricker went 2-for-5. Sam Thompson was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs. Colton Smith had a double and two RBIs. Kase Spradlen had a double.
Tegan Begley earned the win. In four innings he struck out four, walked two and allowed seven hits. Silar Lewis threw the final three innings with five strikeouts, no walks and one hit allowed.
