BASEBALL

Greeneville 15, Cherokee 2

The Greeneville baseball team picked up a 15-2 win over District 2-3A foe Cherokee on Monday night.

At the plate the Greene Devils pounded 19 hits. Kaine Ricker was 4-for-4 with a triple, double and three RBIs. Will Harmon was 3-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs. Maddox Bishop was 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs. Colton Smith and Kase Spradlen each had a double, while Tegan Begley and Grayson Crosby each had two hits.

On the mound Harmon went four innings with nine strikeouts, one walk and three hits allowed. Crosby threw one inning with a strikeout and two hits allowed.

North Greene 15, Cloudland 0

The North Greene baseball team started its Monday night double header with Cloudland with a 15-0 win.

The Huskies used 10 hits to scored their 15 runs. Owen Pierce ended the game with a grand slam. Wyatt Burns had a two-run inside the park home run. Colten Suggs had a three-run double. Isaac Halley was 2-for-3 with a double and Christian Cogdill was 2-for-3.

Tyler Britton threw a three-inning perfect game with five strikeouts, no walks and no hits allowed.

North Greene 15, Cloudland 0

North Greene finished its double header with another 15-0 win over Cloudland.

Isaac Gaby went 3-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs. Jaiden Bailey was 2-for-3 with two RBIs. Tyler Britton had a triple with two RBIs. Christian Cogdill had a double and an RBI. Owen Pierce had a double and an RBI. Colton Cutshall had two RBIs and two runs scored.

Gaby threw two innings with six strikeouts, one walk and one hit allowed. Jaiden Bailey threw one inning with two strikeouts, no walks and no hits allowed.

West Greene 5, South Greene 1

The West Greene baseball team completed the season sweep of South Greene on Monday evening with a 5-1 win over the Rebels.

At the plate the Buffaloes earned six hits. Aidan Willett was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI. Julian Greenlee was 1-for-3 with two RBIs.

South Greene earned seven hits. Cayden FIllers was 2-for-2 with two doubles.

On the mound Ethan Carpenter earned the win for West Greene. In 4.2 innings he struck out nine, walked one and allowed five hits. Brandon Hunter threw 2.1 innings with four strikeouts, one walk and two his allowed.

Cameron Kinser took the loss. In four innings he struck out one, walked four and allowed five hits. Zach Mason threw three innings with two strikeouts, no walks and one hit allowed.

SOFTBALL

Chuckey-Doak 12, Hampton 7

The Chuckey-Doak softball team picked up a 12-7 win over Hampton in eight inning on Monday evening.

The Lady Black Knights pounded 16 hits in the win. Paylin Shelton went 4-for-5 with a double, three RBIs and three runs scored. Hayden Kenney was 3-for-5 with a double and two RBIs. Hayleigh Seidl was 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs. Elizabeth Manuel was 2-for-4 with a double. Madisyn Miller was 2-for-5 with a double and two RBIs.

In the circle Manuel earned the win in relief. In 3.1 innings she struck out three, walked four and allowed three hits. Jayden Myers threw 4.2 innings with three strikeouts, three walks and seven hits allowed.

North Greene 7, South Greene 4

The North Greene softball team picked up a 7-4 win over South Greene on Monday night in five innings.

Addi Dean sealed the win with a triple in the fourth inning that knocked in two runs, and after an error she scored on the play as well.

North Greene finished the day with eight hits. Hannah Brooks was 2-for-2 with a double and two RBIs.

South Greene had four hits with Paisley Brobeck coming up with a three-run triple.

In the circle Matti Phillips earned the win for North Greene. In four innings she struck out three, walked one and allowed four hits.

Four South Greene Kortnei Bailey threw 3.2 innings with one strikeout, one walk and seven hits allowed.

North Greene 8, South Greene 0

North Greene started the day by completing a contest from March 27 with an 8-0 win over South Greene.

The Lady Huskies started the day leading 5-0 and scored three more runs to finish things out.

Brooks finished the contest with 14 strikeouts, no walks and two hits allowed.

Kinlea Eastep went 2-for-3 for the Lady Huskies and Josie Graham walked four times. Hannah Brooks, Matti Phillips, Tralyn Southerland, and Kylee Listek each had one hit.

Kortnei Bailey took the loss. In 5.2 innings she struck out six, walked six and allowed four hits.

Johnson County 6, West Greene 0

The West Greene softball team started a double header on Monday with a 6-0 loss to Johnson County.

The Lady Buffaloes were held to four hits. Abagale Jackson was 2-for-2 with a double. Autumn Carter and Kaylee Willett each had a single.

Abby Cluesman took the loss. In four innings she struck out two, walked three and allowed five hits.

Johnson County 4, West Greene 0

In the second half of the double header Johnson County beat West Greene 4-0.

The Lady Buffaloes earned just two hits. Abagale Jackson had a triple and Abby Cluesman had a single.

Jackson took the loss in the circle. In five innings she struck out three, walked two and allowed eight hits.
