Johnson City 9 – Greeneville 6
Greeneville fell behind early and fought to rally, but ultimately came up short in a 9–6 loss to Johnson City. Ezra McNaughton led the Flyboys’ offense with two hits, including his league-leading eighth home run, and drove in two runs.
Freddy Beruvides got the start for Greeneville, tossing two shutout innings. He allowed just one hit, struck out one, and walked two.
The Flyboys and Johnson City will meet again on Wednesday night for the second game of the three-game series at Pioneer Park. Gates open at 6 p.m., with first pitch scheduled for 7.
