GREENEVILLE, Tenn. — Greeneville High School’s soccer team continued its tradition of excellence by placing 10 of its starting 11 players on the District 2-AA All-Conference team, including six first-team selections and four second-team honorees.
Austin Beets, a senior forward, earned the Offensive Player of the Year title. Beets, a three-time all-conference and all-region selection, was also a 2023 All-State honoree. He was instrumental in leading Greeneville to a 14-10-1 season and a runner-up finish at the TSSAA State Tournament for the second consecutive year.
Defensive stalwart Connor Stayton was named Defensive Player of the Year. Stayton, also a senior, is a three-time all-conference and all-region selection, anchoring a defense that helped Greeneville secure its 14th straight district title and 13th consecutive district tournament championship.
The Greene Devils have an impressive record, having won 79 consecutive district games. Their dominance was reflected in the all-conference selections, with Beets and Stayton joined on the first team by teammates Tanner Myers, Brandon Rogers, Brody Inscore, and David Fisher.
Second-team honors went to Liam Polte, Simon Holt, Griffin Gricunas, and Samuel Gourley, highlighting the depth and talent of the Greeneville squad.
Greeneville’s soccer program continues to set the standard in District 2-AA, building on a legacy of success and aiming for even greater achievements in the future.
