INDIANAPOLIS – After compiling one of the best running back seasons in Tennessee football history, Jaylen Wright’s NFL Draft status continues to soar following an elite display of testing numbers at the 2024 NFL Combine on Saturday.
Wright, a 2023 All-SEC selection, posted the second-best broad jump by a running back in NFL Combine history at 11 feet 2 inches. That figure was the second-best among all skill players at the 2024 NFL Combine and the best by any running back in the last eight years. Wright’s stellar broad jump topped the previous best by a Vol running back, which Alvin Kamara achieved in 2017 at 10 feet 11 inches.
Wright followed that up with 40-yard dash runs of 4.44 and then 4.38. His 4.38 time was the second-fastest among running backs in 2024 and the best by any Tennessee running back in Combine history. Wright hit 15.18 miles per hour, which was the second-best by any running back in the last two Combines.
Wright added a 38-inch vertical jump, which was the fourth-best among 2024 running backs.
Wright participated in running back drills before Joe Milton III took the field in quarterback drills. Milton measured at 6-foot-5, 235 pounds and notched marks of 35 inches in the vertical jump and 10 feet 1 inch in the broad jump.
Cornerback Kamal Hadden measured at 6-foot-1 and 196 pounds and went through position drills on Friday.
All three players will join other Vols at Tennessee’s Pro Day on March 27 in the Neyland-Thompson Sports Complex.
