AUSTIN, Texas — Tusculum University guard Bryce Jackson has been named to the NCAA Division II Academic All-District® 3 Men’s Basketball first team as selected by the College Sports Communicators.

The 2025 Academic All-District® Men’s Basketball team recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.

District 3 is comprised of colleges and universities representing the South Atlantic Conference, Peach Belt Conference and Conference Carolinas. To be eligible, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher, must be at least a sophomore and played in 90 percent of their team’s games or start in 67 percent of their contests.

Jackson, a junior from Murfreesboro, Tennessee, has an impressive 3.98 GPA while majoring in sport management. He is a member of the SAC Commissioner’s Honor Roll, Athletic Director’s Honor Roll, Dean’s List, President’s List and Charles Oliver Gray Honors List. In 2024, he was named the SAC Men’s Basketball Elite 23 Award recipient.

Jackson earned All-SAC third team honors this past season where he led the Pioneers in scoring averaging 18.6 points per game, which ranks sixth in the conference and is 60th in the country. He started in all 28 games where he scored in double figures on 25 occasions including 12 times with 20 or more points and two outings with 30-plus points. He scored a career-best 35 points against Limestone University where he tied the school single-game record with 28 field goal attempts.

Defensively, Jackson is listed amongst the conference leaders in steals, averaging 1.75 per game which ranked him fourth in the SAC. He also led the team in minutes played (33.33 mpg – 10th in SAC), field goals made (176 – 9th in SAC), field goal attempts (401, 4th in SAC), free throws made (130 – 5th in SAC), free throw attempts (171 – 5th in SAC), total steals (49 – 7th in SAC) and total points (520 – 9th in SAC). He also averaged 5.6 rebounds per game and shot 76 percent from the free throw line.

The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in April.

The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-2025 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs.
