JACKSON, Tenn. — Tusculum University women’s volleyball middle blocker Karris Oller was named to the Union University Classic All-Tournament Team for her performance in the weekend (Aug. 28-29) event.
Oller, a junior from Thornton, Colorado, posted a .438 hitting percentage while averaging 2.82 kills and 0.41 blocks per set as Tusculum went 3-1 at last weekend’s tournament.
She opened with 15 kills, three blocks and hit .448 in the season-lid lifter against Auburn University at Montgomery. She followed with 11 kills, four digs and two service aces in Tusculum’s 3-2 win over Upper Iowa University. She notched 13 kills and a .524 hitting percentage in a three-set sweep over Lane College on Saturday and followed with nine kills and a .529 attack percentage in a 3-1 victory over host Union.
Oller totaled 48 kills, four service aces and seven blocks in her four matches over the weekend.
Tusculum begins conference play on Tuesday (Sept. 1) at Carson-Newman with first serve scheduled for 6 p.m.
