The Appalachian League kicks off its sixth season on June 4th with 4 games on the schedule. The Appalachian League is a summer collegiate baseball league that is part of the MLB and USA Baseball Prospect Development Pipeline, a pathway for amateur baseball players in the United States and is an integral part of the identification and development process for the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team and other future national teams.
The Greeneville Flyboys, under the direction of first year manager Turner Ward, will open the 2026 campaign on the road at Elizabethton against the River Riders at 6:30pm, with all fans being admitted free. Other games will have Kingsport hosting Burlington, Pulaski hosting Johnson City, and Danville hosting Bluefield. These games will start at 7:00 pm.
The Flyboys will host 24 games at Eastman Credit Union Field at Pioneer Park throughout the year. Weekday games will begin at 7:00 pm, while Sunday games will start at 2:00pm and go 7-innings. All games will be filled with fan-friendly interactions with promotions and fireworks scattered throughout the season.
