There were plenty of worthy selections to pick from this week, but after he led his team to win over a a Top 10 opponent, and in dramatic fashion, Greeneville’s Caden Baugh has been chosen as this week’s Greene Sports Zone Player Of The Week.
The Greene Devil quarterback was instrumental in a 41-33 win over over Upperman on Friday. In that win Baugh carried the ball 23 times for 122 yards and scored three touchdowns. He was able to use his legs late in the fourth quarter to pick up a big fourth-down conversion that kept the ball out of the Bees’ hands while clinging to a one point lead. Shortly after he tossed his most important pass of the night, a 21-yard strike to Zaydyn Anderson with two minutes left that gave Greeneville an eight-point lead.
Baugh finished the day 6-of-10 passing for 47 yards against No.4 ranked Upperman.
