The Greeneville wrestling team had a big weekend, earning a fourth-place finish at the Class A Dual Wrestling State Tournament. Sophomore Brylan Rhodes went a perfect 4-0 at the state tournament with three pins, and for that he has been named the Greene Sports Zone Player of the Week.
Rhodes started his day in Franklin with a with a pin of Soddy Daisy’s Brody Castolin in 2:59. Against Montgomery Central he earned a 17-1 technical fall over Gavin Holt. Rhodes followed that up by pinning Memphis Oswald of Tullahoma in 3:48. He then finished his perfect day at the state tournament by pinning Brodie Jaeckel of Station Camp in 3:48.
