Greeneville 10, Hardin Valley 4
The Greeneville baseball team finished off a busy week on Saturday by beating Hardin Valley 10-4 on Saturday.
The Greene Devils used 11 hits to score their 10 runs. Sam Thompson led that effort by going 3-for-3 with a double. Branton White was 2-for-3 with three RBIs. Tegan Begley had a home run with two RBIs. Maddox Bishop and Grayson Crosby each scored two runs.
On the mound Silar Lewis threw four innings with three strikeouts, two walks and five hits allowed. Crosby threw three innings with two strikeouts, one walk and two hits allowed.
Knoxville Catholic 7, Greeneville 3
Greeneville started Saturday with a 7-3 loss to Knoxville Catholic.
The Greene Devils produced nine hits against the Irish. Colton Smith was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI. Maddox Bishop was 2-for-2
Jaxon Winter took the loss. In 2.1 innings he struck out one, walked two and allowed six hits. Rocco Fontana threw three innings with three strikeouts, one walk and three hits allowed.
North Greene 14, Cosby 5
The North Greene baseball team went to Cosby on Friday and picked up a 14-5 win.
The Huskies used eight hits, seven walks, three hit batters and three errors to score their 14 runs. Jaiden Bailey was 2-for-3 with a triple, two RBIs and three runs scored. Christian Cogdill was 2-for-4 with a double. Isaac Halley had a double and three RBIs. Colton Suggs had a double and two RBIs, and Owen Pierce had two RBIs.
Isaac Gaby earned the win. In 5.1 innings he struck out seven, walked five, and allowed five hits.
Gatlinburg-Pittman 4, West Greene 3
Gatlinburg-Pittman picked up a 4-3, walk-off win over West Greene on Friday night.
The game was decided in the bottom of the seventh inning. Gatlinburg’s Ryan Cutshaw led off the side with a triple and Nathan Williams got a ground ball through the left side to push across the winning run.
West Greene was held to two hits on Friday. Jhonen Bath and Jayden Cox each had a single.
On the mound Ethan Carpenter threw five innings with three strikeouts, one walk and four hits allowed.
