Greeneville 18, Cherokee 0
Greeneville pitcher Will Harmon tossed a perfect game on Tuesday night as the Greene Devils earned an 18-0 win over Cherokee.
In the five-inning contest Harmon struck out 12, walked none and allowed no hits.
At the plate Greeneville pounded 13 hits. Kaine Ricker was 3-for-4 with a double and three RBIs. Maddox Bishop had a home run and four RBIs. Sam Thompson was 2-for-2 with two doubles and two RBIs. Tegan Begley was 2-for-3 with a double.
Chuckey-Doak 19, Happy Valley 7
The Chuckey-Doak baseball team improved to 5-0 in District 1-2A play with a 19-7 win at Happy Valley on Tuesday.
The Black Knights produced 18 hits in the win. Gavin Crum was 4-for-5 with two doubles and six RBIs. Lynkin Cutshaw went 4-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Dom Atchison was 3-for-4 with a double and three RBIs. Cooper Seay went 2-for-4 with a double and three RBIs.
On the mound Kayden Bowers threw three innings with three strike outs, two walks and three hits allowed.
University High 3, North Greene 2
The North Greene baseball team fell to University High 3-2 on Tuesday.
The Huskies produced just two hits in the loss. Jaiden Bailey and Wyatt Burns each had a single.
On the mound Aidan Halley threw 6 2/3 innings with three strikeouts, three walks and seven hits allowed.
Johnson County 4, West Greene 1
The West Greene baseball team fell to Johnson County 4-1 on Tuesday.
At the plate Jhonen Bath went 2-for-3 with a double. Jayden Cox, Julian Greenlee and Christian Hunter all had singles for the Buffaloes.
On the mound Ethan Carpenter threw six innings with five strikeouts, one walk and five hits allowed.
Unicoi County 15, South Greene 0
The South Greene baseball team fell to Unicoi County 15-0 on Tuesday.
The Rebels managed just one hit in the loss, a double by Pablo Rosario.
Charlie Lane took the loss. In 1.1 innings he struck out two, walked five and allowed four hits.
SOFTBALL
South Greene 13, Chuckey-Doak 3
The South Greene softball team earned a 13-3 win over Chuckey-Doak on Tuesday afternoon.
The Lady Rebels earned 13 hits in the win. Macy Roberts led the way by going 3-for-3 with a double and an RBI. Kortnei Bailey was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs. Paisley Probeck was 2-for-2 with a double and two RBIs. Neveah Davis went 2-for-3.
Chuckey-Doak earned six hits in the loss. Jayden Myers, Haleigh Seidl, Elizabeth Shelton, Paylin Shelton, Elizabeth Manuel and Madisyn Miller all had singles.
Bailey earned the win for South Greene. In five inning she struck out six, walked one and allowed six hits.
Myers took the loss. In two innings she walked four and allowed eight hits.
Grainger 6, Greeneville 0
The Greeneville softball team fell to Grainger 6-0 on Tuesday night.
The Lady Greene Devils struggled with Grainger pitcher Shylo Williford who struck out 14 and allowed just two hits. Brylee Tullock and Kaley Garland each had a single for Greeneville.
Jamie Jackson took the loss for Greeneville. In 4.1 innings she struck out five, walked four and allowed seven hits.
North Greene 9, Cloudland 4
The North Greene softball team took down Cloudland 9-4 on Tuesday in its first District 1-1A contest of the year.
At the plate North Greene was limited to five hits but took advantage of nine walks. Tralyn Southerland had a grand slam for the Lady Huskies. Hannah Brooks had a two-run double. Matti Phillips, Addi Dean, and Kinlea Eastep all had singles. Josie Graham walked four times and scored three runs.
Brooks threw seven innings with 10 strikeouts, one walk and seven hits allowed.
