South Greene 57, Union County 53
The South Greene girls basketball team started the Big H BBQ Christmas Bash at Cherokee High School with a nail-biting win over Union County on Wednesday evening, 57-53.
The Lady Rebels led most of the night, but fell behind by eight points in the fourth quarter. Samantha Birdwell and Ari Hoese came up with a clutch three-pointers. With 1:33 left Alexa Gabbard came up with a steal that set up Neveah Davis for the go-ahead bucket. From there Paisley Brobeck finished the game at the free-throw line.
Kortnei Bailey led South Greene with 15 points, Brobeck had 13 and Hoese scored 10 points.

BOYS
West Greene 67, Union County 47
The West Greene boys got its time in the Big H BBQ Christmas Bash started with a 67-47 win over Union County on Wednesday.
The Buffaloes blew the game open with a 31-3 run that lasted 11 minutes in the first half. Josiah Dawson led the offense with 21 points while Titus Shelton added 20 points and Ayden Lamons put in 10 points.

North Greene 65, Cocke County 48
The North Greene boys started the Big H BBQ Christmas Bash at Cherokee High School with a 65-48 win over Cocke County on Wednesday night.
The Huskies used tough defense and prolific three-point shooting to earn the win. Tyler Britton led the way with 22 points while draining six three-pointers. Isaac Gaby hit from deep four times and scored 13 points. As a team the Huskies hit 14 three-pointers.
