GREENEVILLE, Tenn. — The Tennessee Baseball Coaches Association (TBCA) announced its All-State high school baseball team, honoring two local standouts for their exceptional performances this season. Carson Quillen of Greeneville High School and Braden McCamey of West Greene High School have earned well-deserved spots on the prestigious team.

Carson Quillen, a junior at Greeneville, has been named to the TBCA All-State team for the second consecutive year. Quillen’s remarkable season was instrumental in guiding the Greene Devils back to the TSSAA 3A State Tournament. Greeneville, the reigning state champions, reached the state semifinals this year. A Virginia Tech commit, Quillen led the state in doubles with 24, ranked 10th in ERA at 1.00, 13th in innings pitched, and was among the top 20 in hits. His consistent excellence on the field has solidified his reputation as one of Tennessee’s top high school baseball players.

Braden McCamey, a senior at West Greene, also earned TBCA All-State honors following a record-breaking season. McCamey helped lead the Buffs to their most successful campaign in school history, securing their first District Tournament Championship and their first win in a Regional tournament. McCamey’s outstanding achievements include setting school records for strikeouts in a game, twice, with 14, nine wins in a season, 87 strikeouts, 14 career wins, seven complete games, and 73 innings pitched, which ranked seventh in the state. His leadership and performance were pivotal in West Greene’s historic run.

The TBCA All-State team is selected from teams whose coaches are members of the association, recognizing the top high school baseball talents across the state.

Local Players on the TBCA All-State Team:

  • Carson Quillen, Junior, Greeneville High School: Virginia Tech commit, second straight All-State honor, led state in doubles (24), 10th in ERA (1.00), 13th in innings pitched, top 20 in hits.
  • Braden McCamey, Senior, West Greene High School: School records for strikeouts in a game (14), wins in a season (9), strikeouts (87), career wins (14), complete games (7), innings pitched (73, seventh in state).
