Baseball:
North Greene 16 – Cloudland 2
North Greene took advantage of scoring 5 in the bottom of the first and then exploding for 10 more in the fourth to secure the conference victory. Jake Duffy was dominant in all aspects of the game securing a triple and picking up the win on the mound allowing 2 runs on 3 hits and striking out 7. Wyatt Burns and Christian Cogdill each doubled for the Huskies.
Chuckey Doak 6 – Johnson County 2
Jake Hinkle went 4 for 4 at the plate and drove in a run as the Black Knights picked up a conference win over the Longhorns. Gavin Crum went the distance on the mound to pick up the win while allowing 2 runs over the 7 innings on 9 hits and collecting 7 strikeouts.
South Greene 5 – Happy Valley 3
Hampton @ West Greene postponed due to wet grounds.
Softball:
Unicoi County 11 – North Greene 0
The Blue Devils utilized a consistent scoring attack, pushing across at least one run in every inning except for the second, and a strong pitching performance to shut out the Huskies. Lela Byrd had two doubles on the day for the Blue Devils and held the Huskies to only one hit, a single by Kinlea Eastep.
