ROCK HILL, S. C. — Tusculum University junior Nathan Buckeridge has been honored as the South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week for the week ending September 14.
Buckeridge earned a first-place finish in his Pioneer debut as Tusculum ran at the Roane State Invitational on Friday evening. The junior from Haywards Heath, England crossed the finish line in 26:12 over the 8-kilometer course to win by 91 seconds.
Buckeridge is the first Tusculum men’s runner to earn a race win since Pau Valdepenas in 2023. He was one of five Pioneers to finish in the top 10 at the event.
The Pioneers will race at the Brevard XC Classic on Friday, Sept. 19 with the women’s race at 4:30 p.m. followed by the men’s race at 5:30 p.m.
