NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The No. 3/4 Tennessee soccer team dropped a Sunday afternoon contest at Vanderbilt with a 2-0 loss.
UT (11-2-3,5-2-2) put up 12 shots with six coming on frame but were unable to break through against the Dores (12-3-1, 6-2-1).
Despite allowing a pair of goals, goalkeeper Cayden Norris registered five saves.
The Commodores struck early when Reagan Pentz headed it in in the ninth minute.
Vanderbilt led 1-0 heading into the halftime break and then added their second and final goal of the night when Sydney Watts found the back of the net in the 82nd minute.
VU keeper Sara Wojdelko logged six saves in goal.
Lady Vol midfielder Mac Midgley put up five shots for the Big Orange, with two coming on goal. Milee Zych and Sydney Miller also tried to get something going for UT with one shot on frame apiace but were unable to break through.
